Hello! Today we look at the possible basis for a quotation that an Italian Civil Law Notary Public might send to a new client who requires succession, conveyancing or other services:

Thank you for your request for a quotation concerning my firm’s notarial services in Italy related to [-].

Fees and taxes
In view of the importance of the matter and the complexity of the activities and filing services that need to be performed, the following fees have been calculated for the points describe above:
– as for the activity in point 1, Euro [•];

– as for the activity in point 3, Euro [•];
The above mentioned sum does not include a 15% flat rate for general expenses, VAT, registration or archive taxes, stamp duties, and any other statutory charges, less withholding tax where applicable.
Pursuant to Article 9, comma 4, Law 1/2012, as amended by article 1, comma 150, Law 124/2017, please note that the degree of complexity of the requested activities can be estimated as low/medium.
I kindly ask you to sign the bottom of this quotation, as a sign of acceptance, and send the signed copy back to me. By returning the signed copy to me it is understood that from that moment I have the mandate to proceed in your interest with the execution of the activities in question, and except as otherwise indicated, it shall imply acceptance of the quotation under the above-mentioned conditions.
